Only Qualified Ambulance Drivers Here!
Health Connections Patient Transport Service have been bursting to tell you all some awesome news. We are very proud to announce that three of our drivers passed their Level 2 Award in Ambulance Driving! They all attended a full week’s training and received their certificates this month. This means that they are fully qualified with all the skills necessary to provide an excellent ambulance driving service.
What is the Level 2 Award in Ambulance Driving?
Driving an ambulance is a challenging skill to learn, and drivers must undertake training beforehand. The Level 2 Award in Ambulance Driving provides drivers with the legal requirements to drive ambulances. The certificate also teaches drivers how to drive and manoeuvre the ambulance safely and comfortably. This means that you can be assured that Health Connections PTS drivers will always ensure the patient’s safety and well being.
Some of the areas that are covered in the course include Vehicle Daily Inspections, Legislation and Driving Regulations, Driving in adverse conditions and Vehicle Safety Systems. The course lasts a week and is essential for people who drive ambulance vehicles on a non-emergency basis.
Who are the drivers?
So, who are these superstars? Well, well a big congratulations go to Michael McComb, Philip Barr and Natalie Charlish, all pictured holding their certificates.
They all really enjoyed the course, saying it was ‘enjoyable’ and ‘informative’. However they confess it was hard work and packed with information for them to get to grips with. Even though the course was a challenge, they said the instructors were ‘of a high standard’. They also said the course was great for team building!
Well done to our 3 drivers, all ready and willing to put their ambulance qualification into practice. Once again demonstrating that Health Connections Patient Transport Services does not cut corners when it comes to patient safety.
