How are we different from a medical ambulance?
Health Connections Patient Transport Service is provided as an additional resource to medical ambulance services. Ambulance services are already struggling under the weight of demand, therefore having a service dedicated to assisting people with mental health issues is of a huge benefit.
Our leadership team have over 25 years of clinical experience between them, working with people who are suffering from acute mental health issues. Therefore they are best placed to lead from the front, ensuring that the service we provide is person-centred, but also safe and free from risk.
Our leadership embeds clinical practice as its number one priority and core focus. Demonstrating the values and delivering the governance processes that ensure our patient transport service delivers high quality, safe service. In addition, our policies and procedures are reviewed by a core element of varied health care professionals. This process of review ensures they reflect best practice and are consistent with the most recent legislation.
The people who work for us are key to the success of Health Connections PTS Ltd. This is why we take time to invest in all our staff and ensure they are of the highest calibre. All our staff complete a full programme of mandatory training which is specific to their role. In addition, we invest in external training programmes for all staff. This is to both enhance understanding and maintain enthusiasm in our clinical practice.
We invest in all our transportation resources to ensure they consistently safe, secure and of a high standard. You can be assured that our safety and security measures are thorough and robust. However, they are also discreet and underpinned by a full and comprehensive governance framework. Our vehicles are designed to allow full engagement with individuals at all times, using the least restrictive practice.
