Why should your hospital choose our patient transport service?
There are a number of reasons why you should choose Health Connections Patient Transport Service. But one of the most important ones is because of the people who work for us. Healthcare staff often do a job that is challenging as it is rewarding and that is why we have to ensure the people we employ have the necessary skills and attributes required to carry out their role.
Passion for the job
Firstly, we look for people who are passionate about what they do. We do not consider the job we do, ‘just a job’, it’s a commitment to helping others. It can often be demanding, but also rewarding, so our team need to really love what they do.
Good communication skills
Our staff all have the ability to communicate effectively. They are able to listen and consult with the individuals we support and with their families. They know how to understand their needs, in a person-centred way, and are able to explain their care in a way that makes sense to them.
Empathy and compassion
It is essential that a good healthcare professional can show compassion to the people they support and provide comfort when they need it. All our staff have these skills and understand how to treat people with kindness and respect.
